Tenega Tab. has been specifically formulated for treatment of type 2 diabetes having metformin & teneligliptin as active compounds. It is also known to have ability to prevent cardiovascular & cancer complications. This medicine has bioavailability of 50% to 60% with elimination half life of 4 to 8.7 hours. Tenega Tab. works by reducing glucose production by liver and increasing synthesis of insulin by pancreas. It belongs to dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor drug class and is not known to be metabolized inside body. This drug is eliminated by tubular secretion and released in urine unchanged.
